Frequently Asked Questions

Is it possible for students to enter directly in the second year of the MTG master’s program (M2 level)?

No, it is not possible to enter the MTG master’s program directly in the second year. Admission to the program is only possible at M1 level by taking the direct admission entrance exam at Sciences Po Lille (see here).

Is it possible to do an internship abroad ?

Yes, it is entirely possible to do an internship abroad. However, be aware of the conditions of remuneration, which are not guaranteed by law in other countries.

Can I do an internship between the two years of the master’s program ?

Yes, it is possible to do an optional internship at the end of the first year of the master’s program, once you have defended your research thesis and completed your exams (that is between mid-May and August). As this internship is optional, it does not carry ECTS credits and does not require you to produce a report, unlike the end-of-studies internship in the second year.

What skills are assessed during the admission interview ? Are there any prerequisites for admission to the program ?

The interview will cover the candidate’s background, knowledge, skills, and motivation for joining the program. The primary objective is to determine if your career goals align with the program’s identity and offering. Candidates should also demonstrate an interest in European and international current affairs and a genuine curiosity about the world around them! The jury may open a discussion on current issues.
Interviews will take place in person at Sciences Po Lille. Under exceptional circumstances, it may be organized remotely upon justified request at the time of registration for the interview procedure (e.g., candidates living abroad, doing an internship or working at the time of the interview…).
